I agree Golden, How can they get by with doing this? I was told that my SS is exempt from CA's.

Especially if it is past the statue of limitations... DO NOT respond in ANY WAY! If you do, the "clock" restarts!
Let them make threats all they want, ignore it!Â* Unless you receive a notice of a court date, then stand firm.Â* Do NOT answer a phone with your name. If someone you do not know ask you your name or if you are "Joe" then do not answer!
They will use every trick in the book via phone or mail to get you to respond so they can restart the clock on your debt!
Look up Clark Howard and ask him!

How does a plaintiff proceed to get a defendants SSI check garnished in California once a judgement is made?

SSI can never be garnished by any court other than for child support and government debts

If someone calls and speaks to someone other than the debtor regarding the debt then they are in direct violation of law!

Social Security is totally exempt income. That judge should know that.

File a bar complaint against the judge. They are NOT above the law!
