I'm trying to educate myself before anything more happens. My payment for a payday loan just bounced (really didn't mean to) and I really don't have the money to pay it in full which they are now going to demand. From what I have gathered, they can't garnish my paycheck but not completely sure if they can levy my bank account and assume they would have to have a court order. Also, if "they" are incorporated somewhere besides Texas, can they have the court order issued in another state but presented on a Texas bank. If it helps, the bank is a local Texas bank and has no branches outside of Texas. I live in Texas and the PDL loan has been set-up for EPP - the first payment was made and the second one bounced. One last thing, although the receipt says Cash America Payday Advance, the actual EPP Agmt says the Lender is Hereford Financial LLC in Darien, CT which I cannot find any information on.

Thanks for any and all info.

When you search in Google, sometimes it help to put quotes around your search terms. Hereford is a credit facilitator, in other words, they loan the money to the PDL who then loans it to you.

You may wish to ask this question in the PDL forum. There are people that hang out over there that are very familiar with storefronts.

Here is a thread on the PDL forum about storefront PDLs in Texas.

Hope it helps!
