For the past 2 days I have received calls from an officer Ryan from United Federal Investigations, saying that my social security number has come up in an investigation for fraud. If I don't call him back no telling what will happen to me and he wishes me good luck. I did take out a payday loan which I did paid some of it back, but now I am really scared. From what I have read on here I don't think they can really arrest me for this, but I am scared he is going to start calling my supervisor here at work and possibly get me fired. Can someone please give me some advise on how to deal with this jerk. Also he had a thick middle eastern accent. Does anyone have an address for this company? PLEASE HELP.

Here is one of many links about this happening to others at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/forums/fsm-group-14.html . It appears that they do this on a regular basis, which is far from legal.

Who did you have your loan with and what state are you in?

Keep notes, messages and other things you get from them, in case you have to use it later.

Threateneing to arrest seems to be one of the lines all,or most CAs use to intimidate others. Hang in there, we are here to help..karen

I want him to stop calling my work, I don't want to get fired because of him.

Tell him he is about to be under investigation if he doesn't leave you alone. Do let them itimidate you and don't back down. I myself have received calls from these people and I just laugh at them. Tell them that if he doesn't stop calling you at work you are going to inform your local authorities.
I told one guy that my Uncle works for the FBI and he is sitting right next to me..Would you like to discuss my case with him and he hung up.

Actually it is funny because I haven't actually talked to him, but each time I tried to call him back at the number he gave I got a generic voice mail. If it was so urgent that I call him back how come he never answered when I tried to call him back. I actually left him a message saying that it is illegal to threaten someone with arrest for not paying back a loan and that I would be filing complaint with the attorney generals office. I have feeling he won't get the message though.

Oh, that's too funny Pink!! One CA told me I was going to be arrested too. I told them that would be wonderful, I needed the rest. I then went on to say that I took care of my mother, my disabled son, etc., and talked and talked about how nice it owuld be for someone to wait on me for a change--he got mad and hung up Laughing

lol, thats funny. I had another one tell me when I called that I had to hold because he was on the other line talking to the District Attorney about my case. Yeah, okay..I'm pretty sure you are going to put the DA on hold to answer another call. What a bunch of idots.

See LLindsay, what a bunch of idots we are dealing with. Once they realize they aren't getting any money from you they will eventually back down to go prey on the next victim.

I also said in the message that I would not be paying them a dime until I got some written validation of what he is collecting for. And that if he wanted to send 20 people over to arrest me that I would be waiting for them at the front desk. I felt really gutsy when I left the message, but now I am getting scared again. I just don't want him to get me fired that is my big fear.

They threaten prople to get them scared into doing something quickly, before they can find out if they owe them or not.

The one I have been dealing with for over two years has done and said everything. Once I stood up to them, they didn't do the threatening so much. In fact, they told me they knew which site I was getting my info from, and this site was wrong! They also said they knew I was "debt educated", like I had leprosy or something!! I told them it was abot time I was Laughing

if that is the case guest then yes,it was deleted.to lindsey,you are doing great.just don't be scared,have your boss tell the clowns you no longer work there.that usually works to stop the call at work.
