Has anyone ever received a telephone call from United Processing Legal Department phone number 904-236-5142. Do you know if they are associated with Bass and Associates?

I am not sure if they are associated with Bass and Associates, but they are definitely scum...if you do a search in the forums on United Processing, you'll find out more about the illegal tactics of this company.

Beware of United Processing! This company often uses the scare tactics that you have committed an internet fraud and they are going to download an affidavit soon. Most people in this company have a foreign accent. Don't feel intimidated

They make illegal threats on the phone. Get their calls recorded after verifying with your state laws. In few states, you have to take the permission of both the parties. When they know that you are recording their phone calls for legal purpose, they will behave well.

They will call you before 8:00am and they will call your work 10 million times a day. These were the worst I have had to deal with. For me they are worse than bass, not much but worse.

They will tell you, you have until such and such time to pay or they will have you arrested. And if you ask for validation they will say, oh you want to go that way, well then we will be downloading your info and the police will be there soon. Do not believe a thing they say. You need to nail them before they get to you or your employer. They also want payment by western union or money gram. The next time they call tell them that you know they are not licensed to collect in your state and that you have complaints filed against them and any further contact is to be done by mail. You know that they are collecting illegally and they have your info so send the DV letter to the addy they have on file. I did that after they called me at 7:30am on a sat. and they said they were united pay services, then after the guy hung up on me I called back and they answered the phone united processing, so I asked ok which company are you really? and he hung up on me. I have yet to hear from them after I threatened them like they did me.

thanks for the advise. I haven't received a call from them since the initial call last Friday. They claimed they were going to file suit on that date as I did not have 800 dollars to give them (on a payday loan that was 300 dollars.) They always seem to call me on a Friday (payday) so I'm waiting to see if I get a call today. What was the end result for you?

After I filed my complaints with WI and FL and after I chewed them a new one I haven't heard from them since.

This sounds eerily familiar to a call I received from a hateful woman claiming to be from a company called "Legal Processing Ass." She was an awful woman and demanded al the money from my ACE Cash Express PDL at once. She threatened to sue and actually went so far as to tell me "I don't care if your husband dies tomorrow, he needs to pay us." Their phone numbers I have on record are 904.384.1345 or 877.384.1345, and they are from Jacksonville, FL. Makes you wonder doesn't it?
