Rannefeld Saga Continues

I sent the DV Letter out, they have already received it and signed for it (on 4/5). I'll get the little special green certified mail card via mail in a day or two probably (as even more proof of the day they signed for the letter).

I used the "validation rewrite" letter that was posted here, with a few minor changes. Obviously that letter calls for a cease and desist -- aka stop calling me, jerks.

But miraculously, as if on cue, King Chandler called again yesterday (4/7) and left a recorded voice mail. He asked, as usual, for an immediate call back.

Now what?

Well, per FDCPA they are allowed to call to advise you if they wish to stop collecting or if they are going to be doing something else with the account. I would suggest calling them back (record it if it is legal in your state)

Well,by calling you even after receiving the C&D letter they're surely violating the law. You can sue them for this act, just make sure you have all the documents at place to support your point.

However, if it is the other way as JCEMT has mentioned then it is worth giving them a call.

King Chandler, (if that is his real name) is a charmer...good luck in dealing with him. He likes to talk over you and doesn't listen to anything you tell him. He will try to bully you by referring to things on your credit report but stops short of actually confirming that they have pulled it. Good luck dealing with the slime ball.

I didn't realize that I could register without submitting myself to the consultation debt thing. I noticed a link when I went back today that said "join the community." Have wanted to all along, just didn't look closely. Thanks for your help, wulf!
