I keep getting a call from this "collection agency" called Vital Recovery Services. At first, it was a generic message on the vm, now they are saying that they are calling from the company that finances my car. I knew there was something strange going on since I'm never late on my car payment. Just called my finance company and they told me they have no idea who VRS is and why they would be calling me, since my account is current.
I checked my credit report and found that they pulled my credit and stated that I requested them to pull it.
What can be done about companies like this?

You need to dispute this on your credit report for sure. I would simply call them back to find out what they want and tell them not to contact you again.

Vital Recovery Debt services continues to call me for a debt that is for someone else. I have spoken with 4 people to tell them to stop calling me, however I am met with total rudeness and abuse. I have reported them to the Federal Trade Commission. One of the collectors said the address of the Vital Recovery Debt service is 3795 Data Drive, Suite 200 in Norcross, GA 30092. I advise everyone to call the Federal Trade commission in your state and report them if they harrass and abuse you.
