If you have an account and miss one payment, is there a certain number of days the credit card company must wait before they contact you (ie...bombard you with phone calls)? I have a credit card and forgot to mail the monthly payment. It is 4 days late as of today and the company has called my home and cell phone 9 times in the past 6 hours.

This will usually happen with a low limit, high intresr card. They are relentless. Just tell them that you forgot and will mail it. The calls will usually stop for a few days.

That is exactly true. If you have one of those HSBC/Orchard Bank cards they are a pain if you are a couple days late. Most credit card compnies won't bother you until you start getting near the thirty day mark.
