hello, thanks - first of all, send a debt validation letter! they will validate but this will cost you time. Did you ever recieve anything from them? How old is this debt? You should have. Nelson Watson has some unplesant people working for them, thats a warning. They actually blocked me from everyone but upper management because I kept reporting them for harrsement, lol. But it worked. If you demand respect, you will be treated better. They settled with me, and I'm sure they will settle for you but I don't know how much they will knock off because my balance was kinda low (it was only a $300 card). Good luck though and keep us posted. Smile

eekk...

ok, i called them (nelson, watson..) on friday and they informed me that they no longer have my account. And i asked them if they know who has it because i was given there number.

the rep told me that they actually have two accounts for me and they all both closed at their office. however, if i want to pay them off, she could email the client and have the file sent back to their office.

Apparently they have my captial one and a sound advice card. I told her that I want to settle for about 50% of what i owe. And she told me striaght up that they will not settle for less than 70% of what i owe.

They have my capital one card at 7K!!!!!!!!!!! I can't afford 70% in one payment.

what should i do at this point? I haven't DV them because i don't have an account number.

As far as sound advice card, another agency is saying they have that debt.

i'm so thrownback! (sorry if i am not making any sense)
