That is a good article. I had read it quite a while ago and ended up sending it to someone who had a collector contact them about a bill that was over 10 years old, one he had thought he had paid, and he ended up agreeing to pay and then could have kicked himself in the pants after reading this because now it shows back up on his credit report as a collection account.
