I advised Collections Unlimited at 800-723-2331 that the number they were calling to collect a debt hadn't belonged to the person they were seeking for over a year and I reported them to the do not call registry. They continue to do automated recorded calls to my number and refuse to stop. The last time I spoke to them (approx a year ago), a Collections Unlimited supervisor told me that there was nothing that I could do to stop them from filling up my voice mail with their automated recordings, even though I was an innocent third party and on the do not call registry, and even though I had reported them!

They're wrong. Send them a cease and desist letter via certified mail with a return receipt requested. When you get the receipt, hang on to it for dear life. If they call you again after you've received the receipt, sue them!
