Ari,

I'm glad that you told them about your old employer. It sounds like they really put you through the ringer. How is your new job going or have you started yet?

Mishele,

My new job is going very smoothly, I'm really enjoying it there. When I did call them about Protocol, I explained to them what I was told to say that wasn't true and the backlash I got if I didn't.
If by "ringer" you mean humiliating me in front of other staff members by heckling my work ethic, and by threatening to fire me every week for building my own dialogue with people as opposed to reading that dumb script like the rest of the sheep, condescending downtalk, and further insults regarding my character, work ethic, education, AND choice of next employment, then yes they put me through the ringer. If anyone on this planet decides to file suit agaist Protocol, they will have me by their side. It has already been documented.

Wow Ari, that is really cool that you called these guys. I bet they are going to be calling you soon to testify in court. Now they will have a lot more ammo against them. I still have some letters I really need to fax to them. I think one letter I have from allied interstate, and one from a so-called law firm are definitely violating the fdcpa.

I wonder if these attorneys are getting lots of emails and calls now. Maybe we can keep checking their website...and hopefully some class action lawsuits will begin soon.

I would bet my life on it! I'm sure that thses lawyers are also looking to build their reputation to the public by bringing down enemies to the public. They will be legal heroes and give lawyers a very good name.

Actually they have already been involved in quite a few lawsuits against CA's..they have some of them posted in a list on their website and you can read about the case. Looks like they are a reputable office, and they seem like they really want to help. I wonder how it is that some people care a great deal about protecting the public, and others label them 'deadbeats who don't pay their bills' and don't care to help at all.

This company keeps harrassing me at work threatening to garnish my check. I told her I could not afford to pay the high monthly they were trying to arrange and she hung up on me and said that bank of America is going to get their money on one on the other. She calls me every day at work. Is this illegal

Nope. Per the FDCPA2, unless you explicitly demand that she cease calling you at work, she can still only call you twice a month at work and no more. She violates the fdcpa. Tell her to go to hell. If the CA she collects for is on the list on page 1 of this topic, click on the link, give them a call, and then you'll really know how many people are on your side!

I received a call from them and they were requesting my bank routing information and account number over the phone regarding an account that has been charged off. I would not give them my information over the phone and they were upset. This just did not sound right to me. Can someone investigate them?
