Edelman & Combs are unlikely to do anything for anybody. They want to gather all the information about these debt collection companies they can so the information can be used in various class action lawsuits they have going. Class action lawsuits benefit the attorneys greatly but the consumers get little or nothing at all. Many of my students have contacted Edelman & Combs about various debt collectors and all they get back is an invitation to join a class action lawsuit. Edelman don't want to take their individual cases because there is little money in it for them. One of my students, Mark M. of Rhode Island contacted them with a case and wanted them to to prosecute it for him. they refused but wanted him to join their class action lawsuit. Mark said no, sued them privately and got over $7,000 total and Edelman still hasn't setteled their case. Ethyl G of Chicago wanted them to take her case and they refused. When she won in court then they wanted to take her case. She said no as well.
So the lesson is clear. Don't mess with lawyers. Learn how to win in court without lawyers. It isn't hard to do. |
