I just received a National Arbitration Forum Claim from CACV. They are trying to collect money for an account that isn't on my credit report. But, CACV has dinged my credit report now with this same bogus account. What should I do next? After reading about this pitiful excuse for a company, I want to end this problem ASAP. If I did have an account, it seems that the SOL has expired also.

You must make sure about the debt on which CACV is collecting from you. They can take you to the court but they won't get a judgment against you if the SOL is already expired. First confirm on the SOL and then draft a dispute letter and mail it to the company address certified, with return receipt requested. This proof will be enough to save you from any legal actions.

I'm sending them a dispute letter today. I still cannot find this account in my credit history, so I guess I'll see what happens next.

I sent a DV letter to CACV and received no answer. Today ,I get letters from CACV and National Arbitration Forum, both letters state that a "stay" has been activated. Now what do I do?? This debt does not exist and I want these clowns to go away.I appreciate any advice

Don't miss the hearing date where the arbitration is filed. Show all the papers to the arbitrator. He will come to know the real thing and about the SOL. The case will be dismissed if the SOL is already expired.
