You caught us in advance this time  We were busy in giving the final touch on the Community Cards section and few members spied us right there. Ashley was one of them who inquired about the Community Cards in one thread!
What is Community Card all about? It is like a Greeting Card. Members can send these cards to other community members on whatever occasions they want. To send a card to a fellow member you have to follow these steps only:
1. Visit the Home Page of your friend who you want to send the card.
2. You will see an option called Add a Card there; click on it to prepare the card for your community friend. (you need to be logged in)
There are three different fields to be filled in.
Occasion: Purpose of the Card – Christmas or New Year or Birthday whatever.
Display date: There is a calendar and you can select a date on which the card will be visible for your friend. | Quote: | | If Polly designs a Card for Jessi on December 20 and set the display date December 25; the Card will be visible for Jessi on December 25 only. All the other members would be able to view the card and add their comments there as well. |
Message: Just put your words here; it supports all the forum syntax and smileys.
3. Click the Submit button to create the card.
Once the Card is created it is displayed within the Active Card section in the Home Page of respective members and others can embed their message within it as well.
On the display date, as set by the card starter, the recipient will get surprised to see a card for him/her The card will be displayed within the Active Card section for next 10 days and then it will get shifted to the Inactive Card section automatically.
So start visiting Home Pages of your friends to create cards for them. A list of all the Active Card is also available here:
