Default student loan settlement

I recently paid a settlement of my student loan with on of this junk debt byers collection agency. As you know a student loan does not have a statute of limitations so if this company does not pay the Dept of Education this debt will haunt me forever. Do they keep this money or are they obligated to pay the original creditor? I called the dept of Educ and they are not the debt collector they have on file. I am afraid of loosing my money.

If the DOE says the JDB isn't the one they contracted then I would suggest sending the JDB a validation letter. You can find a good template via my signature link.

Default New to site

Hello, My name is Kasey and I am new to the site. I received an email telling me to come and introduce myself so here I am. I found this site by accident and now I am thankful that I have found it. I hope to get help and maybe help others once I get some of my own debt under control.
