I had a loan with CMG/FSM Group and they marked it PAID IN FULL after I revoked their ACH at the bank and notify them of this and asked for a refund of the overpayment, I also filed a complain
with the AG's office. All I can fine on my Loan Note is their FAX # since that is the only way you can get a hold of them. The number is 1-866-516-9700 The name on the email on which they notified me of "Paid In FUll"is Carmen Hernandez. Hope this help.

I too had many payday loans. I thought I was going to lose my mind. I closed my checking account and opened a new one-did not give info to anybody. Then I called up the payday loan people(don't ignore them) and spoke with reasonable people who helped me to work out a payment plan. Some of them even lowerd the amount of the loan-believe it or not. I am now almost totally paid off in only a few months. I am so glad. Sometimes I am tempted but I know I cannot do this to my family again. Good luck !

stop payments do not work.the pdl's are internet and illegal.they will change amounts,co names, and even put through a paper check.spercy either has to close that account and open a new one,or put the account on DEPOSIT ONLY.cmg will find a way around the stop payment.go see the bank manager for both options.

I also live in CT and have:

a $500 loan with Loan Shop on Line that I have been paying 150 every two weeks in interest alone for about six months.

a $450 loan with a company called PDL Ventures.

If these loans are illegal in CT, what is my best option in getting out of them?

payday-loan-yes is actually a fairly easy negotiation. I got them to settle on $150 to pay my account off on a $475 loan I didnt make many payments on.

Has anyone had any experience with Loan Shop On Line and PDL Ventures?
I live in Conn. and according to the postings on this thread, PDL's are illegal in my state, is that correct? If so, is it suggested that I close the account and contact the AG 's office? Sorry if this is redudent, just looking for a little help.
