I have recieved by mail a flyer that states this company can repair credit.They claim bankrupcey,late payments,repos,and all other debt related problems can be erased.My question is how can this be ?

I don't know if it can be erased, but the professional debt counselors here can certainly advise you on how to repair it and build good credit. Also, feel free to browse at the different posts regarding credit repair.

I have heard there are some out there that seem to do good work. They do the same thing that you could yourself. They might know a couple more tricks on what is the best way to dispute an item to get it removed successfully. However, they dispute items over and over again until it comes off of your credit report. Just be careful who you use and research them thoroughly. I equate it to taking a lawyer to represent you in court.

Be careful with this. I tried it a couple of years ago and ended up getting a letter from a credit reporting agency that they thought a third party was trying to unlawfully remove items from my CR and they would no longer accept any disputes.

Steve, In Wv the Attorney Generals office has established a credit car that is traveling throughout the state helping people dispute items on their reports and giving advice on Statue of Limitations and such. Maybe you could check in your state to see if something like that is available its the consumer division. KYSIDE38
