I posted the other day that I need to have some things corrected on my expirian credt report. Items I need to have changed or removed are incorrect phone #'s and an address that I am not sure how they got there. 1 phone # is a family members cell & the other looks to be a butchered address that is very simalar to my work.

What do I need to include with my dispute? I need to get the phone # off. How likely are they to make corrections for you????

Just place a formal dispute on the items you find incorrect in your file. The bureau will investigate and update your records. Send a proof of your present address and phone number. They will do the changes immediately and send you an updated copy.

Thanks! Do you think if I sent them a part of my cell phone bill with my address & cell # (which is my only number) they will accept that? Not really sure where all the worng info came from.

I think it will do. Or send a copy of your driving license for address proof.

The phone number is going to be easy to remove, it was never yours to begin with. It will help if you provide them witha new one though. The address thing just happened to me too. I live on North such and such, and they have South such and such. I just wrote them a letter explaining, and they said that addresses are reported to them not only by you, but also by other creditors, collectors etc. They keep them recorded on your record incase of identity theft. You can update your current address though, and make sure they know its your current address by sending the proof you were going to.
