So if I have something on my credit that really is mine, but the company can't provide me information on it and say that I am not in their system by account number, address or social sec #, how would I dispute that? What would be the reason?

Most creditors will have something incorrect in their account shown on the credit report. You can dispute any incorrect information per your rights under the Fcra.

Default Late Payments

What should I write in the letter to remove late payments. This goes to the original creditor but...will they remove it? Some late payments are old and some are present. I'm really trying hard not to pay late anymore (over 30 days). I just need my credit repaired so I can buy a house...help

Default For Late Girl

You have to ask them to remove the whole trade line from the report.. They just can't remove the reported late payments according to the FCRA Rules..

Default credit report

Sometimes it seems like 'we' get so wrapped up and sressed about debt and low scores, 'we' think we CAN'T fix the problem. Ya know? I know there is alot of advice on this forum, and I thank everyone for that.

I sure have learned a lot and the biggest benefit is that I have become more aware of credit and it's problems

Dispute with the CRA's with something other than "not mine". If the CA verifies with the CRA's before providing validation to you, then they have violated. If you do a search for "the 1-2 punch", that should answer any other questions you might have.

Default Getting a paid collection removed

I found a 42.00 collection on my credit report and paid it immediately. It was a medical bill that was processed under an incorrect ss# causing confusion about payment. Is there any way that I can get it removed from my credit report? I have never been late on any payments. I have talked to the hospitals billing department, the collection agency and the credit report agency, and they all say there is nothing they can do. I just do not believe that!
