Why is my paid collection still showing on my credit report file? How do I get the collection removed completely?

Is it showing paid? A CA can stay on ur report for 7 years and 180 days from date of first deliquency, even if it has been paid it stays on but should show as paid.
Hope this helps,
Ang

Ang is correct. Unless you had a pay for delete settlement preventing reporting, they can report for seven years from date of first delinquency of account they were collecting on. There are three ways to remove this account.
1.Dispute it with credit bureaus and if they don't answer it will be removed.
2. Send a goodwill letter to collection agency.
3. Harass the crap out of collection agency with complaints to attorney general,Ftc,BBB,and any else you can find until they tire of you and remove it.
