First things first, i have been fighting a creidtor named Vericrest Financial since 2009. They're currently reporting to experian and transunion with the account being in KD status, whatever in the hell that means. I have no idea as to who these people are or where they came from. They show on my reports as an auto loan but then i've received 2 charge off 1099 statements from them for a mortgage loan but then they sent me corrected 1099's. I dont know who these people are or how they got my name and address but this account is not mine. I have written them asking for debt validation and have fought them on all three credit agencies but to no avail and nor have I received anything. Equifax deleted them because they couldn't validate the account but the other two agencies still show Vericrest.

Secondly, my victoria's secret, express and chadwicks accounts are reporting lates with all three agencies when I was not late. In fact i was on their hardship payment plan of which they setup automatic debits from my bank account.

any advice would be greatly appreciated

KD status means that account is considered to be Key derogatory in your credit report. As the CA was unable to validate the debt, you should contact TransUnion and Experian and ask them to remove the account from your credit report.

As far as express and chadwicks accounts are considered, you should contact them and negotiate with them so that they update your credit report and remove the negative item from your credit report as you are paying the debt as per your payment plan. Once they do so, you account status will be updated.

Hey,

You don't need to worry too much as the situation is quite in your favor. You should immediately contact Experian and TransUnion and inform them that the collection agency hadn't been able to validate your debt and hence to update your account status accordingly. If required show the the exchange of documents between you and the collection agency.

Your case with Express and Chadwicks is almost the same. You have to contact them and inform them that you have been on a hardship payment plan with them, hence to report the correct state of your account to the credit bureaus.

Thank you

Being put on a hardship plan doesn't necessarily mean they won't report that the account is behind. If it's behind, even if you're on a plan and making payments, they can report that you're behind until you are caught up.
