Hi All:
I am stressed out by these PDL company's (Storefronts) that have been debiting checks although i am on payment agreements to re-pay and have kept up.....Now i am being evicted out of my apartment due to being late trying to balance things financially.
I have thought of closing my account as i have more than 27 NSF's that have hit my account in the last 45 days, thats $864.00 total. Only issue is, i have very very bad credit (which i am working on as we speaK) i cannot get loans from banks or even CC's for people with bad credit. Its a horrible place to be. I dont have any family to go to for help. My bank account was opened as a favor because i am in chexsystems, the Bank Manager agreed to open it pending that i keep it in good standing.
If i close it, i cannot get a bank account anywhere else. Does anyone know of any banks in DC/MD or VA that will open an account for me?

There's a community member named Goudah who has the list of all banks that don't use chexsystem. She is not logged in right now, but she will definitely see your post later. She will send you the info.
You are paying too much on NSF fees. Have you spoken with your bank and get some of the fees reverted? They will be helpful if you are able to explain your situation.

yes, i have spoken to them. They refunded 3 of them $96.00. Thats their limit, so far i have paid over $2000.00 in NSF fee's alone this year, dealing with the same payday loans. I am so sick of it, now i am loosing my apt, have no where to go and no money to pay these idiots back fast enough so i can move on with my life. I figured, 1st would be to close my account and catch up on everything else. BUT i need my bank account, i had spent 3 years without one and unable to obtain one until last year when a bank manager agreed under her terms to open one for me.

There must be few banks in your state that don't use a chexsytem while opening a checking account. I am pretty sure Goudah will have this info for you. Just hang in here! She will be here anytime. Try to send her a PM.

In regards to your eviction,
How late are you on your rent? Depending on the state you are in, you might want to consult an attorney regarding state laws concerning evictions. You need to educate yourself on your rights. Have you checked with organizations in your area such as the Salvation Army that help people make up back rent? Good luck and let us know what happens.
