I just pulled my 3 in 1 credit report from True Credit. My equifax report is now showing my old previous address as my current address and my current address as my previous address.

Does anyone know how this could have happened? Is this a big deal? Should I contact equifax or will it sort itself out? It was correct the last time I pulled my report last week.

Hm. That is strange that it would have gotten reversed. I think you should contact them and have it corrected. And, also go over the report with a fine toothed comb to verify there are no other errors.

. You may have to prove that your address that is listed as your old address is really your current address though. That shouldn't be difficult as you probably have bank statements, or utility bills in your name at that address.

That should be an easy enough fix for them to update your credit report with the new address and do as eleroo states and go over your credit report with a fine tooth comb.

Disputing it wont cause you a lot of trouble. So, send them a dispute letter with copies of proof that your old residential address is actually your new address. send the letter via certified mail with a return receipt request.
