I'm one of the lucky ones. We sold our home ( short sale) and the 1st was paid in full ( countrywide now B of A). The second ( B of A) only got about a third. They would have got 97% of the second had they taken one of the other 4 contracts we had in a reasonable amount of time.
Anyway, B of A is showing my second as a Foreclosure on my credit report. I filed a dispute with Experian but B of A refuses to change the reporting. Where do I go from here. It's just not right to have a foreclosure on my CR when the home was sold. Thanks |

it may be because the house was listed under a short sale. I would contact the lender and tell them of the error. You said that you contacted the CR company...did you dispute the error? They have 30 days to show you written proof that this is a valid listing. If they can't, they are supposed to take it off. This was information I was given by a lawyer in Texas...
hope it helps |

The OP DID dispute it with the CRA's and it came back as verified. What the OP must do now is to request from the CRA's proof of verification. If they don't provide this, then it must be removed. They are sticklers so be persistent. You may even have to threaten to sue them.
