Make sure that the debts you are paying now are reported accurately in your credit report. It’s often seen that the creditors or the collection agencies whom you are making the payments are not reporting the items in time to the CRAs. It’s up to you to see that your good payment record makes its way into your report to counteract the bad info.
How about opening a secured card with your bank and making payments in time. This will help more in increasing the scores.

Primary tradelines are really expensive, but I know that my cousin got some free tradelines with her purchase at CBS Credit, so I would say you can't really get all of them free, but if you make a strong case or have referrals you can send a lot of places will think of you as a VIP client and you might be able to swing a deal. By the way CBS Credit's website is ************.com or ********.net

I never understood the 'tradeline thing' either. Where do you actually get them? Does someone with GOOD credit put you on their CR's? Sounds like ( from a comment above..) you PAY to have improved credit...like alot of other things, I suppose. I thought someone, on this forum, said that lenders don't look at tradelines anymore.

Unless they are talking about purchasing accounts via companies that do "piggybacking".

I don't know. I never really knew the difference between 'tradelines' and 'piggybacking'. I know there's ONE of them who lenders don't look at anymore, concerning your credit.

I've briefly read a few things about tradelines. In the 'fine print', alot of the companies, that offer this, want an 'arm and a leg' for you to use them. That's ALMOST like getting into MORE debt to get an 'improvement' on your credit ( just putting my '2 cents' in).
