Freecreditreport.com is a legitimate business and a good way to get your reports from all three reporting agencies for free. You can't pull your reports without you social security number. Once you have pulled them you can dispute items that are inaccurate and possibly raise your FICO score.

I can't remember how much it is, but this service costs over $10 per month. I decided to cancel. I'll just get the free reports each year.

Another way to go is to go to https://www.annualcreditreport.com/ . This is a TRULY FREE credit report, the site is sponsored by the government and the three credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax and Transunion).
You are allowed one free credit report from all three bureaus once per year, or when you have been denied credit. There are no programs to sign up for, and no fees to pay, unless you want to obtain your FICO score. If you want to sign up for a monitoring service, you can go with any of the other websites you see on t.v., or you can use the services offered by the bureaus themselves.

I have used them before, but just the one time. I went through my credit report not too long ago to try to clean some stuff up.

I have been using them for about 2 years. they cost $12.95 a month, its auto deduct from whatever you have. Experian is the main source of info. but you get reports, alerts automaticaly from all three beureas. its a very good service. i can get a report every day if i want, and i have done that sometimes. a good way to keep track of whats going on with your credit reorts.
