Hi people,
I usually post my questions on the collection agencies forums but now i am facing my "next phase".
I pulled my free credit report from all three credit agencies back in May of this year. By the end of this month, i would have paid off 5 accounts that was charged off by the original creditor and sent to collection agencies.
By the end of November, (cross my fingers), I should have receive all my paid settlement letters from those collection agencies.
What is my next step to get this off my credit report? Since I already received my free credit report for the year, when should i order a new credit report???
I am trying to be proactive and see what i need to do now or if i have to wait 30 days for the paid in full papers to start arriving.
Thanks!

You can dispute anything on your credit report. They will remove it during the dispute. If it is not substantiated it will remain off. I would not dispute anything that you are waiting for a paid settlement letter on. It might backfire. I would suggest waiting on those first

You can initiate disputes at any time with all 3 CRA's. There is a page on each of their websites where you can initiate a dipsute. When you do, a new report is generated. Print the report and mail in your disputes. Do not use the online dispute process as the CRA's have the ability to suppress a tradeline making it appear that it has been deleted but it can show back up again if the data furnisher re-reports.

I would suggest you to dispute the paid off charges with CRA to get them deleted. You can always do it yourself or if don't feel confident can take help of a repair agency. If going for the 2nd option, I'll recomend {link removed per TOS -DC} as it provides a money back policy and do facilitates disputing all negatives together.
