When are items removed from my credit report? I've heard seven years, but is that from the first delinquent report or the most recent? Any info would be appreciated. If you have a link to this info that would be better.

What type of items is shown on your credit copy? There are different reporting dates for each negative item. For example, accounts that are past the due dates will stay on the credit file for seven years. Whereas, Chapter 7 bankruptcy will be reported for ten years. Chapter 13 will stay for 7 years.
