I'm just a little confused on when negative items should be removed from a cr.I know its normally 7 years but I'm not sure of when the 7 years starts.
Heres an example of mine: I had 3 cc that I defaulted on probably in 1999 or 2000, cant remember what year. I went into a debt management program around 2001,stayed in that until 2003 then stopped. So my question is would the 7 years be up from original date of defaulting or when i defaulted from debt management program?

I am not an expert but I would think that it would be from the date of the last payment made to the account...someone will be along shortly to advise further.

I agree with Lady. It probably be from the last payment that was made by debt management company. So you wopuld have to contact them to see when the last payment they made was.
