I was about to switch insurance companies and my agent said he could give me a better deal because when he ran a new credit check he said our score went up So i checked it out and I am thinking that because some of our old collections (that were paid) dropped off our report and now with the mortage and some other loans being paid on time. Thats what made it go up I was wondering why we were getting credit card offers in the mail again. Still don't want one though, at least not yet anyway.
Doing a happy dance right now lol

Congrats on your good scores. Don't open a new credit account at this stage because there won't be long credit history in it. Try to keep your old accounts in good shape with good payments. This will boost up your scores even more.

Hey puddlejmpr,
what difference did that made in your premium?

I saved over $350 But now I have to add an extra driver My daughter. So now it will go up. But they said because of her grades it shouldn't be much.

Yea for you!! That's a relief,huh?
When I added my son, it was pretty high, but is for boys. In our policy, if you maintain a certain grade point, take drivers ed, and something else- can't remember- it helps with the premium.
Keep us the fight and continue on with the happpy dance!!..Karen

$350 is not bad at all.
I am receiving a good discount by Geico because of my 3.8 GPA in college. They also will lower your premium by 10% if you take the "accident prevention" course. It is good for three years
