I m having the same issues with the same company. What is going on. And I tried to dispute it with Experian and they told me the same thing... Maybe we all should get a lawyer and try to sew them for this mess. Because it is driving me crazy and no one want to do anything about it. Please HELP!

I 'm having the the issue also with the same company(national credit solution).I was checking my credit report on 7/18/09 and there it was on my credit to,but I did call them on the following monday and I told to a girl name (TRISHA)and she told it awas also from BMG from 2001-2003,I told her that I had allready pay them and I don't owe them anything.also I ask her why didnt they(national credit)sent me a letter or something before putting this my credit report,(no answer)this has cost me 100 points on my score.they say I owe them 255.00 dollars(WRONG).I'M been railroad and it's WRONG for any credit BUREAUS let them do this without checking with us first and if they can gat away with this anybody else can(worry),It's not the money issue,it's the fact that I'M been railroad and I don't know what to do about it,,What gonna happen next that worries me now

Like everyone else, I applied for credit and this thing reared its ugly head. Yes, once upon a time, I used BMG, but stopped using the service well before 2001. Who needed cds once filesharing and cd burners came into existance? So now, Capital Assistance Group says Im on the hook for $226.27. I returned those cds to BMG way back when. My account was closed in good standing.
I find it very hard to believe that if I really owed BMG money, they would wait six years and not pursue this a long time ago. This failed to show in any of my credit reports and I have them back to 2004. I am disputing this. Where I live, we have a six year statute of limitations. Hopefully, this will help in disputing the claim. Its always another headache.

I am frustrated also by a collection item on my credit repport from National Credit Solutions. They claim that I owe an amount of 132.00 on an account that was opened in December 2008. I have written to them requesting verification of this item and have not received a response. I feel that this is unfair to consumers who are very conscientious about their credit and work diligently enough to pay ligitimate creditors. We do not need to have our credit scoring adversely by fruaudelent reporting which is almost impossible get corrected.

I have the same situation as you above. I pulled up my credit report and found out I am owing national credit solutions an amount of $3051.00 an account they bought from SAGE Telecom. I have never been a customer to this phone company and I don't think a personal phone account can go up to $3051 without the company shutting down your account before it even gets to $500.00. This company needs to be stopped at all cost if not they will continue posting false accounts on people's credit reports and messing them up.

Just pulled my credit reports and found the same thing. They claim I owe $50, I never received any letter from them stating that I owe. I shall send out a debt validation letter certified return receipt tomorrow to them.

Is it against debt collection laws for them to report alleged debt on credit reports without having sent any letter?

I was checking my credit report with a monthly service that I pay for, and a new alert came up saying that in march of 2009, NCS had filed with experian that this account from BMG is majorly derogatory. I have not had any business dealings with BMG whatsoever! I have not received any bills, invoices, or goods from that company. Supposedly this account was opened 12/08. I also have not received any written information from NCS regarding their acquisition of this account from BMG. I am filing every complaint that was suggested in this thread, as well as a formal validation request and dispute with NCS and Experian, respectively. This is ridiculous! This brought my credit score way down and is giving me a headache. Has anyone had any luck getting this cleared up?

I got the same issue. I am in the process or purchasing a house and found a a charge for $276. I used the company in 2004 and paid in full for the product. They sent me a duplicated CD and I returned it. I tried calling the company but was unsucessful. I am surprise this is on my credit. no one called me. This company is a rip off and I really don't want to pay for something I did not receive in order to wipe the charge off my credit report.

HI... were you able to reolve this? i just checked my credit report and i have a charged of $162.00 that i supposed owe BMG music. when i called the collection agency they also gave my the incorrect address. i told them that i didn't live on that address on the year that they's sent the cd' or whatever ... and i have proof pf that... and he ask me for the correct address and i was like "do you think i'm stupid, i'm not going to tell you?" and it's not fair that you want me to pay something just because you say so... and he laughed at me and told me ..... "Yes, i can" and Experian did a poor job disputing this, i heard from them less than 24hrs telling me that "This item was verified and updated on Sep 2009" WTF?????????????????? can someone please help me??

Also going through the same headache, have written numerous places including NCS, Experian, BBB, FTC to dispute to no avail. The debt verification letter they sent me only lists an account and a cryptic due on contract. Not enough detail to be sufficient that I ever entered into any agreement or received merchandise from BMG or Columbia House. I was also speaking with a credit advisor who stated that if you pay, it won't be wiped off and will stay on your Credit report for another 7 years. Has anyone had any luck with these guys? Anyone know of a class action lawsuit? It has to be illegal to post on a credit report without proper debt verification such as an actual signed contract.

Exactly. I find it peculiar how they never sent anything so it could be verified. But I guess that was their intention. The only way people are finding out is by checking their credit reports. This company should have mailed something before tacking this on people's credit reports.
