How does someone go about fixing their credit? It is very poor.. i have not paid the debts in over 3 years. What is the first thing i need to do. I have already pulled the credit report and know everyone i need to pay. I dont like the idea of debt consolidation.

I guess I would start by sending out offers letters to any of the original Creditors that are listed. You may want to work with one at a time. Maybe pick the smallest Dollar amount so you can see your progress. Do not offer more then you can afford because you don’t want to get behind again. If any of your debts are reports as being with a collection agency I would send them a VD letter.
What ever you do keep a paper trail and mail the letter USPS with RRR
