I have been reading alot on this site all of you have so much helpful information. I just wanted to see if someone could help me out. I'm looking for ways to improve my score. I am currently working with careone to take of my payments with my current accounts. I've been with them since december and all my payments have gone out to the creditors on time. I also have a macy's store card that I have been making all my payments on time with. My question is what else can I do to raise my score? Will my score still go up by continuing to making payments through careone? Thank you for your help.
But I thought someone had said that eventually the scores would go up, Would i be better off canceling my program with them and going with making payments to the creditors myself.
Eventually your scores will go up...after you complete the program. With debt management programs you are not generally paying the full payment but a reduced amount, thus another reason for the score tanking.
yeah I'm thinking remaining on the program is best bet to paying these off. Would a secured card or something like that be a good idea to help? What can i do as far as my report goes as far as finding information on it that I would need to dispute is there anything like i can do?
By signing up for counseling session, your provided details (Name, Email ID and Phone No.) will be forwarded to the company advertising on the DebtCC. However, you have no obligation to use their services.
Some creditors and collection agencies refuse to lower the pay off amount, interest rate, and fees owed by the consumer.
Creditors/collection agencies can make collection calls and file lawsuits against the consumers represented by the debt relief companies.
Debt relief services may have a negative impact on the consumer's creditworthiness and his overall debt amount may increase due to the accumulation of extra fees.
The amount which the consumer saves with the use of debt relief services can be regarded as taxable income.
