I have signed up for eCreditAttorney credit repair and will report to the forum on the progress. For a reasonable monthly fee, they are supposed to religiously hammer the credit reports/creditors with disputes that should lead to some deletions (I hope).

After settling $250k in CC and $400k Foreclosure, I am now out of debt other than one business loan. However, my scores are not great. After dipping to about 475, I am up to 604 and hope to get it much higher.

Feel free to check out my settlement journey over in that forum. dtm

Wish you all the best in your journey toward credit repair!! I'm sure that the credit repair company will definitely take steps to dispute the negative items and help you remove them from your credit report.

Thanks for the kind wishes. I have succeeded in having one deleted on my own...American Express!! A couple of months after I settled it, I noticed the balance was still showing. I called their inhouse collection dept and they agreed to delete it. Now, if I could get that done for the other 11 lol. I would keep disputing on my own but it is too much work. Hopefully, these folks are as diligent as their reviews show they are.

Well, I'm about a month in with the credit repair company....

No credit repair yet. But it takes time, they say.

Shortly after signing up, they sent me a game plan, which was a prioritization of the negatives to choose which to go after first.

It appears one can only dispute 5 at a time and I have about 13 negatives.

Anyway, letters have been mailed and I wait and I wait.....
