Sorry to know that you are going through a hard time. Well the info is really helpful, thanks for sharing. I pulled out a report too and it looks good enough.

I don't know, I still think that I am just going to stick with AnnualCreditReport.com. I know they don't give you your score for free but I also think knowing what your credit score is at all times is highly over-rated.

Besides, "no social security number" and "no credit card required"...

...to pull a copy of your credit just by verifying an email? I'm no expert but it sounds to me like this site could be a sort of "heaven" for all of the identity thieves out there, could it not?

What kind of verification questions did it ask you to see that credit report?

I tried it yesterday. The questions they ask to verify: date of birth, address, employer, when you bought your house, amount of your mortgage payment. As I was aware my credit is in the toilet. What interested me most were the negative accounts and why. There are several that are wrong so I will start to fix them. Fixing my credit score will take time.

Some apartment rental agents will not rent if you have a low credit score. My daughter ran into this problem. and it's hard to get a decent rate for a car loan, should you need one.

I found 2 accounts that had been paid off that were listed as collection accounts and not noted paid.

thanks for the info. it was very helpful.
