I have successfully had a charged off item removed from one of my daughter's credit report! She was an authorized user of my Citibank account which I've recently settled for 35%. Now on to Bank of America for my son, and other daughter who are authorized users.

When I pulled her credit report for her, we discovered it and disputed it right there on-line. It took them about 2 weeks to investigate then we received notification they had removed it. I'm waiting until December to pull her report again to verify.

Yesterday I received a call from BoA telling me they have removed my accounts from my children's accounts (they were authorized users back when they were teenagers!). VICTORY is mine!

I would not have known about authorized users being penalized for my financial difficulties had I not found this website.

End of November I make my last payment to Citibank. End of January Bank of A will be paid off (the big account). Have a Bank of A account for $2700 that just went to CA, and a smaller Chase and Capital One account.

Then I'll be debt-free!! (and won't have to listen to messages from Linda!)
