I have a question about credit reports....I checked my credit reports from all three of the major ones. The weird thing I found was on equifax. It had everything posted for each company 4 times. It said on the summary I owed all this crazy money because it had everything listed 4 times. I had my mom check hers and her stuff was listed 4 times each for each creditor. Trans and experien did not list things 4 times. Just once for each creditor as it should be unless you have more then one account. Has anyone else had this problem??

I personally haven't had that problem, but I would get in touch with them and dispute those.

If you mom has it too, there must be some glitch, unless this is a normal thing for them? Don't know, someone will be along that has experienced this and will help you further..Good Luck..karen

Thanks Karen. I just thought it was weird. And if a company uses equifax they are going to think we have more installments, revolving accounts and such. On mine it said I owed people over $200000 due to the entries being there so many times. I have a lot of debt that I am trying to get out of but that is way way over the amount I owe.

Karen is right. Contact Equifax and dispute.

Make sure that these aren't multiple CA's for the same OC. If they are, I've learned that CA's can sell debts to other CA's... I know, crazy! So, if this is the case, all but one agency/creditor should be reporting $0 balances.

If these are "true" duplicates, meaning, they are all being reported by the same creditor/CA, then you need to dispute them as duplicates to the CRA.
