How do I remove unauthorized inquiries on my credit report?

Can I request that other inquires be removed?

Write to the Credit Reporting Agency and contest them. If someone checks you credit without you knowledge it is not necessary for them to be authorized in many cases. Employers are required to tell you they run credit checks but your bank can run one at any time to see if they want to increase or take away from your credit line.

Yep tu and eq seem to have limited file space so they get bumped off. I have added 10 accounts in the last year and my tu & eq sit at zero hards due to this.

Wow... Very cool. Thanks for that.

Is it worth the effort to try and have inquires removed from Experian?

Experian usually will ignore an inquiry dispute, but you can insert a fraud alert in your report and try to dispute them with their fraud dept.

I have several "soft inquires" that I have done the past year and still Transunion and Equifax still show "hard Inquires". How many times did you have to pull your credit?

I have a thick aged file and it took about seven weeks of daily pulling for Transunion & about nine weeks of daily pulling for Equifax.

30 days for a paid report and 45 if you use a free report.

Ok.. Interesting that there is a difference in investigation time if it is free or paid for. Thanks.
