I have things from when i was younger that were charged off and sold again and again. I was talking to my step father about it and he said that i should dispute some of it as they may not even have the the right to collect the debt or the prrof needed to do so. As some of it i was lookig at on my reprts i never got a phone call or a letter stating there was a new holder of the account. Should i dispute things to verify the validity of it?

You can dispute the items mentioned in your credit report and verify the validity of the debts. However, you should note that if the SOL period is over, then the creditors/collection agencies cannot sue you for the debts. Also, they will be removed from your credit report after 7 years.

Ok. So i just dispute them directly with the 3 credit agencies? And thank you.
Disputing with the credit agencies will be a good option!
