Relax, don't get scared. No one is going to send you to jail. This is legally not possible. You need to talk to your company and arrange some payments before they take the matter to the court. The most that can happen for not paying the debt is that a garnishment will be filed against you. Sending to jail is legally not possible.
If you are unable to manage on your own, talk to a debt counselor and insist him to handle the negotiations for you. He will get suitable arrangements done.

First of all, thats illegal to threaten you with jail, so right off the bat, you may need to think twice about sending these people your money. If you owe the bill and you know who owns the paper, for eg Federated Dept Store owns Macys, World Financial owns Victoria Secrets, Lane Bryant, ect, you can pay them directly. and get a letter of satisfaction when you are done
