Has anybody ever dealt with them. I think they are the collection agency for Rio Resources?

You can use some debt settlement methods with the debt collector later. First, you have to get the debt validated by them. This will confirm through debt validation that they are legally entitled to collect the debt from you. The burden of proof is on the debt collector, not you. You also have the rights to request verification if the details given by the collector is found disputed.

These clowns try every trick in the book. bdouble, where are you at? does your state require collection agencies to be licensed? if so these guys likely are not. I dealt with them a couple of years ago and they are slimy. pm me if you have more detailed questions that you would like help with

Yes, ACA is a Debt Collection Company. They use Attorney Norman Kalina's name as a intimidation tactic to collect on debts. I called Norman Kalina's office and spoke to him directly. It was not a nice call. He told me that he has nothing to do with ACA and to never call him again. I reported ACA to the FTC, because they are falsey identifiying themselves as an attorney's office, when in fact they are not. The number that they leave is for their ACA office, NOT Norman Kalina's.

These clowns at ACA have been harassing me, and once I read your post, I felt SO much better. And I think it is great that you reported them to the FTC. I have a good mind to follow your complaint with one of my own!

also there is a website run by a pennsylvania/nj attorney by th ename of Larry Rubin (pennlawyer.com) He may be willing to represent you in action against ACA for their Crap.

Funny thing I got a phone call from "Norman Kalina's" law office about 9:45 one night. I explained to him that I would be taking the matter up with the AG's office and the FTC since he was a debit collector and I did not agree to him calling me after 9:00 pm

I know for a fact that "Norman Kalina"'s office would not be calling after 9pm. They actually do not make calls after 5pm. So, I do not know who really called you - but I guarantee it was NOT his office. So, I also hope that you got the full name and phone number of the person who called you.

These idiots called my work place and left a message, #1 that is illegal as all get out. When I got home I reported them to the Federal Trade Commission and to our State Attorney General for this action. As well as, we owe them no money, they have not attempted to contact me at home, nor have I gotten any mailings from them, according to Ask.com and google they are not legal and the attorney's do not exist. This is nothing but a scam to get your money, don't pay them a penny.
