Does anyone know whether there is a connection between these two collection agencies?

Sam, go to this site, (http://www.mycollector.com/), they have alot of good info. on Unifund and Palisades. Scroll down to the archives section "a must see if you are new to this site" section.

I'm trying to find the information, but it's a bit difficult to see anything other than the awful layout that is impossible to navigate.

I don't know what they did to the layout, it is messed up now and difficult to follow. But once you find the archives site, you will like what you see. Let me see if I can get the link that will take you directly to the archives.

Yeah, but I didn't see anything on whether Palisades and Unifund are somehow associated. I need to know if the one is a subsidiary of the other or something like that.

Did a little research on both. There is a good-sized thread on Palisades here:

I wasn't able to find a thread about Unifund. But I did Google Unifund and found this site:

(Hope that doesn't get blocked) I've never heard of Budd Hibbs, but he's one of the good guys who wants to get rid of bad debt collectors. He has contact info on his site, so you might contact him and see if he knows.
