I have recently had a run in with northstar collection agency and I am absolutely amazed that these people are even able to stay in business with the way I was treated!!!! So-called "John Herberger" (# 1-866-224-9825) called me to try and collect on a bill that I had filed bankruptcy on yrs prior and when I tied telling him this he would not listen to a word I said! This man would talk over me and was just a complete and absolute jerk!!!When I finally told him that he could settle this with my lawyer because he wouldn't listen to me, he made the comment that yes he would call my lawyer but it would do no good and would be calling me back the next night to collect payment. I told him he can call back with an apology for the way I was treated, thanked him and hung up. I'm still waiting for that call!!!! This is the second time this place has done this very same thing to me and they always start by calling my brother, even after they get my number they still proceed to call my brothers house. There has to be a law against this somewhere?!? It seems that this bout of calls has ended for the moment but I'm just waiting for the next run-in!!! The funny thing is, when he was trying to collect, any time I would call he himself would answer the phone and after my lawyer made contact with their office for some strange reason I am no longer able to catch him in the office... just to make sure he got all the info he needed to lose my number!!!!!!!! Till next time Northstar

NorthStar collection agency
There are several collection services that have the name “NorthStar†in them. The number associated with the post above (866-224-9825), on some simple web services, comes up as a collection agency based in California.
This agency is NOT NorthStar Technologies based in Oklahoma or associated with the web site referenced in the post. |

Relatives are geting calls too
I received a call the other day from them looking for my sister in law (my wife's sis). She's married and has a different name now and lives out of state now.
Not only did I get the call, but my parents received one as well looking for her. Now that's diligence! A$$holes! |

I started receiving threatening calls from j a named Mr. Williams. He was rude, wouldn't listen to my side, was threatening. The debt had been paid off three years ago. The bank is now handling it so if I get anymore calls, a lawsuit will prevail

Lawsuit
in the process of filing a lawsuit against them as we speak. The debt they are calling about is legit, but they started calling my employer. First they told my boss every detail of my debt (illegal) He told them to stop calling his office (he is the owner) they said no. Anyways, Lawyer told me its $1,000 plus punitive damages each time they called my office after my boss told them not to call.
Pulled our phone logs for the office and between 12/08 - 02/09 they have called my office 26 times. Enjoy the litigation Northstar |

I got several calls from this place on a credit card the was settled almost 15 years ago. It shouldn't even be on my credit anymore. It keeps getting sold off to another company ,one after another, then I get calls until I threaten to sue wehn I finally stops they sell it again. They also call and harrass my parents. I told them to stop calling them and they denied having any other number but mine. They are rude, insulting (theycalled me names), and very unprofessional. Who can I contact to stop the calls to my parents and finally end this?

These people continually harass me. They are in contact with me regarding an auto loan that because of the conditions of the car is actually in litigation. I have asked them on several occasions to remove me from their list and talk to the lender, Fireside Thrift, directly. They keep calling me and they have even threatened to garnish my wages and put a lien on my estate! They have no clue what they are talking about.
