They were bothering me in April and then stopped. Now today in the last 3 hrs they have called my cell and said I was going to be indicted by the state of california, my work to verify I'm there so they can serve me papers and my friends I listed as references (I assume this is from a payday loan from 200, also telling them they were going to be indicted by the state of california. I asked them in April to provide me the info of who the debt was too and they have not done that. Does anyone know what I can do about them? I checked with the BBB and they are not licensed in the state of california. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I am SOO frustrated. I have not heard of Noble Recovery Service. However, I learned the hard way that there is more than one National Recovery Service and several collection companies that go by NRS. After dealing with enough BS, I had time at work one day, so I looked online and took down the address from the National Recovery Service website. I was going to show them that not everyone can be bullied. I had my attorney contact them only to find that I had never had an account placed with them. So, I learned the NRS or National Recovery Services located in Kansas is licensed to conduct business. Save yourself the headache and embarassment that being a scatter-brain caused me. Get the phone number and address on the first call or save any correspondence you receive.

I need there email address I live in Mass and look what I just found.
Massachusetts Payday Lending Laws

Along with Maryland and Georgia, Massachusetts is one of the few states that not only prohibits payday lending within the state, but prohibits local banking companies from working with out of state payday lenders to provide Massachusetts residents with payday loans as well.
There are a number of ways in which a state may prevent, or at least limit the payday industry in a state. Small loan interest rate caps, usury laws, or specific prohibitions on check cashing are the most common methods. Massachusetts uses the usury laws method.
The last battle that the state of Massachusetts is fighting concerning payday lending is in the online world. Although it is illegal for out of state payday lenders to offer Massachusetts residents payday loans, some companies are attempting to do so. They are currently being investigated.

HE said it was discconected because they moved offices from Santa Ana to Garden Grove....gee I wonder why that is?
Please don't get taken in by these jerks!!

I share the same name with someone at work and I received the call from NRS Mr. Edwards and I explained they had the wrong person and they need to call her at home. He refused to believe me and said I was lying and mocked me and made fun of me. I hung up and he called me back again for more harrassment. He ended up hanging up one me this time. I called our operater and told them not to transfer that number to me again that is was for the other person with my name. I looked up the number online and it gave me a the address in Garden Grove CA. I called the number when I got home to ask for a supervisor and I believe it's just him working there because he said that would be his law office and then he upset me again and my husband called him back and went off on him told him we would get a lawyer cause he is harrassing the wrong person. I just looked up and the number is unpublished now. So people pretty sure this is a scam, I just feel sorry for the girl cause he has her SSN and he verified it with me. I will be notifing my work tomorrow of this. don't fall for it people he is really scary and intimading though!!! had me in tears and I know I don't owe any money to anyone!!

These people have called me all day and hung up when i finally answered. When my boyfriend picked up, they yelled at him asking for me. The woman had a terrible country accent and refused to say what the call was about. She then said, "SHE CAN'T PICK UP THE PHONE LIKE A HUMAN BEING? I GUESS NOT SINCE SHE IS A MEXICAN" and hung up. I am very offended by this, as i am Mexican and i would like all available numbers to curse these people out. I especially want to as I have NO OUTSTANDING DEBT WITH THEM.

They just started calling me again today after 6 months. At home and work. Now they have moved from Anaheim to Pomona, and changed their name from Noble Recovery to Eagle Recovery Services. But its still the same guy, Mr. Rinehart. Do they think we have such a short memory? They are complete idiots.

I was also contacted by Eagle Recovery Services about a month ago - sent them a payment via certied mail, return receipt - have not gotten the receipt back (I'm not sure if I should send anymore payments - they'll probably say they never received them) - it's been a month - last night a received a call from a Hal Jordan from Noble Recovery Services (gave me Money Gram info to send a payment and that's after telling me what a jerk I am and that I'm a criminal) - inside of two hours a $510.00 became $1,200.00 and had to be paid by midnight) - it's interesting that they made be the same outfit - I'm filing complaints against them both.

Hal Jordan from Noble Recovery Systems has been calling me and my relatives regarding a payday loan from Cash Central that I defaulted on because they were unable to draft the repayment amount from my bank account calling them fraudulent bounced checks and they will take legal action against my crime. If I didn't send them a money gram and call him within 1 hour with the confirmation number, he would take legal action. How do these people find all of my past addresses and numbers of relatives? Are these people legal? Can they really take legal action? How do I get them to stop calling? I contactd Cash Central and they told me that my account was purchased by MLA. So what does NRS have to do with this? Help! He scared the crap out of me.

file a police report for the threat as that is what it was.then file AG,and FTC complaints against this bottomfeeder.then do not talk to them again.it's a scam.they can't do anything they threaten.just know that.

Look, don't pay these debit collectors. If you owe someone money, pay them directly. Don't mess with the collector.

Legally, they can only recover the money that you borrowed. No extra fees or anything in that nature. The tactics they are using to recover the money is illegal. When they contact you, tell them before you start talking, you will be recording this conversation. Most new cell phones have this feature. They can not threaten your job or contact any person as a referrence to collect the money. If this information is disclosed, you have a right to counter sue them for this. Make sure that they know this information. They are a legitimate collection agency for payday loans and can and will take you to court for not paying the fees. Regardless if you do not pay them or not, you did borrow money from a payday loan, which payday loans are illegal in most states because of the unethical interest they charge, but because most of these companies are online and have their main office in another country, they are able to find that loop hole. My suggestion is to find out the amount you borrowed and agreed to pay back the loan company. Tell NRS you will make payments to them per month and pay off what you borrowed. Because think about it, legally, you have stolen "X" amount of money if you do not pay that back so legally, you are obligated to pay what you agreed to pay, no more.
