Check N GO In Trouble
Hey all it looks like a national PDL is in hot water here in Washington State. Check N Go is being taken to task for violating Washington State Rules. Here is the Link,
www.dfi.wa.gov/CS%20Orders/C-05-012-06-SC01.pdf Among the more disturbing allegations concern the captureing of customer bank account PIN numbers. Anyone dealing with Check N Go should read the complaint, cechk their contract and their state law. __________________

The State of Washington is proposing over $300,000 in fines as well as license revocation.

Hey jj,
Aren't pdls illegal in Washington state? I am glad to see Washington taking notice and doing something to protect their people from the evil people.

not illegal, but regulated (this includes on line/internet pdl's)

At least they are regulated. I have noticed while doing research that there are some states that have absolutely no regulations. To me, that is giving free rein for the pdl industry to do whatever they wish.

So many loan companies are violating the state laws. At least, it's good to see some are facing actions quick enough than others who are continuing their misdeeds. The truth will always get uncovered. Sometimes, it only takes longer to get results.

I agree..I think these pdl's and the people and companies that are funding them comes from a much higher rank! Polly sure had something here..!

Erzeke, spend some time researching one or two, Tammy and I did the other day. It'll scare you to see some of the information on them, especially some of the online lenders.

Yup!
I'm afraid that's the reason why these guys will be around a lot longer, and it will be harder to shut them down! For instance, QuikPayday..they got sued and shut down in Colorado, but ended up reopening another internet business by finding pdl's for people instead of funding it themselves!~

actually, quik payday appears to have been even sneakier than that, starting a company called cash central.. although at leaast they get licenses where they are required to

While it's great that a big PDL is actually going down somewhere in the US, it just shows that our work is nowhere finished.
I have adopted this issue as my own and am emailing politicians in California for their positions on it. It's an election year, right? AND I VOTE!!! I'll let my new friends on this wonderful site know what I find out. And btw, I LOVE this site and I LOVE you all!!!

Great find here. It is frightening that these places violate so many state laws. We have to keep up the good fight though  This forum has caused a great big stir up around the internet lenders. I've even had one follow me around the forums. Why would a legitimate business do that??? Mind boggling, isn't it?

This just goes to show that these people are shady and must be stopped!! I can't think of anything good to say about them, I really can't. Would you find a company like Xerox or Federal Express following people around??? Geez! They need to go back under the rocks they crawled out from...

If we can continue to educate people here and write our representaties,etc., we will keep this thing alive. The more noise made about this,the more attentions it will get. No,our work isn't done,but we are making some headway and educating others about these practices...Karen
