Has anyone heard of RMB, INC on their credit report? If so, do you have an address and phone number for them?

They need to get their act together! They have called my home 3 days in a row, asking for a person that does not, nor never has lived here. They won't give you time to tell them, they just hang up. On the national no-call list, but isn't helping.

Default RMB INC

Here is a more accurate number for these people:

RMB Inc
409 Bearden Park Circle
Knoxville, Tennessee 37919
USA

Tel: (800) 697-7782
Fax: (800) 869-0242

When you call select option 2 the client option and then select other question. If you are not the person that the recording is asking for tell the person that answers the phone that you do not wish to be transfered unless they can guarantee that your call will be answered by a REAL person. After a year, I have finally gotten them to stop calling me!!

Default RE: RMB Ethics

I just got ogg the phone with an extremely rude and threating woman from RMB. They have been calling for the last 5 months --just out of the blue. Trying to collect on a bill (rather small--under 200.00) from a hospital on my husband--we would pay this and would have paid it ar the time -----------------but he has never set foot in this hospital.
She has threaten to contact employeers, outright called me a lair when I told her my husband had never been there and
"you will pay this bill you are avoiding onr way or another"!!!!
Can companies fabricate these thye of things and get away with it--this is getting to be more abuse and hassle than the money is worth-
What to Do,
Jan Bolick

Just pulled my CBR & out of no where I have a $10.00 collection acct. for RMB Inc; and they were paid within the 30 days I was alloted on a $15 debt to the hospital - I didn't even realize this mere $15 was still due because I paid them everything they sent me bills for. I never heard of RMB Inc, no letters - no calls!I do collections for a living with an Atty's office & know the law - they have violated all the golden rules! For those that want a little advice on debt collectors here it is: If you know you don't owe something - dispute it! Simple enough, don't get angry - just roll with it - I promise it will go away. Yes it a pain in the back side but it's not worth you getting high blood pressure form it! Ok, make sure your dispute is in writing - to them & the 3 major credit agencies. Further, demand proof the balance is due & if they can not produce it then demand they cease commuications with you & demand (the CRA's) remove it from your credit reports! Oh, and rememebr - not all debt collectors are mean & ugly - I only raise my voice and get ugly when I am being cursed or damned! There are no valid reasons for adults to act like that

Default calls for someone else

I have been receiving calls for someone I have never met. At first it was automated so I couldn't even tell them it wasn't me. I left a message on their voicemail saying as much. The calls stopped for a whole 2 months (!!!) and now have resumed. I actually talked to a person the other day and thought I straightened things out. I just got a phone call and when I answered (Knowing exactly who it was going to be) they hung up on me. When I explained to the person last time that I was not this person (it's a male and I am a female), have never known this person, etc., his response was, "Are you shure about that?" No dumb@$$, I'm not. Let me go check to see WHO I AM!!! I need help to get these people to stop calling. It's a cell phone and they are using my minutes!! Who do I contact? I am going to try to use one of the listed phone numbers above. Can I call my State Rep? State Atty General? If they have the wrong name, can anything get on my credit report?

Send them a full cease comm letter. State that you are not the consumer they are seeking and that calls to your cell phone are causing you to incur costs. Inform them that any further calls and you will be forced to file suit against them for violation of the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act) which can hold them civilly liable for $500 PER CALL to your cell phone. Send it CMRRR. and file complaints with the FTC, FCC, AG's in your state and theirs.
