great job guys! i was working for this comp (csc) witch i am ashame to say i worked there. From the get go they teach collectors how to violate the fdcpa, threat the customer by telling them they will be reported to the irs on a 1099c form for earn income witch is all bull and this is a third to fifth party collection agency with the worse collection practice in california. they put past debts that have fallen of your credit report back on witch is against the law fraud reporting are been treated as burden of proof on your behalf oh did i mention (csc) has no media/records that you did open the account. i worked there because of my experience but the way the managers treated employees and the customers made me sick to my stomach to see how the bbb/ftc/ have not shut this people down the owner mike joplin / right hand man andy strong are the few to mention that they enforce this bad practice of collections and reporting old debt from 2000 on your credit report. if collectors do not follow this poor practice of collections regardless of your years in the industry working for fortune 500 companies the are no good to the company at all. please some one out there close mike jolin an credit solutions corp. down with that been said CSC is located at 5454 Ruffin road#200 San Diego CA. 92123

I received a call from CSC the other day about a debt from about 2 years ago. I was told very abruptly that if I did not settle my mastercard account with them that day, that they would file a 1099C with the IRS. I thought in order to file a 1099C with the IRS, the last payment had to be over 3 years ago. This is not the case, as a payment was received in November of 2007, not even 2 years ago. I do owe the debt but cannot pay it and will be filing bankruptcy. I lost my eyesight and went on Social Security Disability the end of 2005. I kept up with the payments as long as I could until the medical bills became too overwhelming. I lost my home and everything. I will be filing bankruptcy soon and told them this. They said that they will have to work out a payment plan with my bankruptcy attorney as I can't file bankruptcy on this account because they are filing at 1099C. Which until now, I had never heard of a 1099C. I am insolvent, blind and only receive ssdi so I wont have to pay taxes on this amount, but from what I can tell, they should not be filing the form yet anyway. And I am sure if they do file, the burdon of proof will be placed on me. Any help would be appreciated. By the way, I live in Florida.

I got served at work from a collection agency because Credit Solutions did not do what they said they would. They took me for around $3000.00 in bank drafts and were supposed to send me paperwork detailing what they are taking the money for but never did. I never signed anything either. So what kind of lawyer do I need? The debt that they were supposed to do something about has grown instead of been cut like they claim and now they want to try and get me to settle on an amount that is just plain wrong. On top of all this, the old creditor that I signed a contract with was bought out, and I did not agree with that and had asked the credit card to be cancelled back in 2004. I signed the contract with the old company in 1994. So anyone know what other options I may have? I really cannot afford to get my wages garnished and I don't care to pay payments. But Credit Solutions was SUPPOSED to help me out.

Mr.bradfordvero first of all you do have a disability and a hard ship they can not report you to the IRS as earn income on a 1099c and the burden of proof is not on you is on them (csc). they need to prove that you do not have a hard ship or in a financial bind or a documented disability. you can file bankruptcy chapter 13 that will entittle you to pay back at least 70%of your debts in small monthly installments wich will be reported on your credit report for the next 10 years wich during this time it will be hard for you to get credit, you will be considered high risk or file chapter 7 which is total bankrupt and in 2 years after being discharge you will be able to get new line of credit just "do not get or open a line of credit in witch you have to pay to get credit with that being said "DO NOT LET CSC ENTRAP YOU BY THREATS OF 1099c REPORTING" it is all a tactic they use to consumers to pay on old debts and getting the past statute of limitations re-activated... in your case file bankruptcy. i would.

dear guest
next time they call you get their name and number, address and let them know "only after" they give you the information that you will report the owner Mike Joplin, Joe De la Rosa, Andy Strong who is in charge of fraudulently reporting to the credit agencies. get tis information then give it to your boss because he can hold credit solutions accountable for harassment. you both have a good case, do to fdcpa harassment is defined as that which is not appealing to the customer (thats you)

That depends on what state you are in.

Do you have any copies of your old credit reports? You can also request a copy of your file from the credit bureau which would prove the re-aging, too.

These guys don't play by the rules. I won't go through the whole story, but suffice to say that they criminally (according to the campus police) harassed me by calling on my work line last week. They laughed at me when I told them I was asking them not to call me at work. One woman even told me she "just wanted to f**k with you, you stupid b***h." I have not yet received any proof that they hold this debt that they claim they are calling about.

They even deliberated slurred the name of the company on the phone and wouldn't give me a mailing address. I finally tracked them down because they gave me the name of the attorney who was supposedly going to file an action in court against them. These guys are complete scum and don't care if they're operating within the law or not.
