I cannot remember the exact title but got at Barnes and noble and it was something like "Take back control of your student loan debt" They will take full payment but the DOE will not negotiate payoffs, the debt collector can do that - but not likely it depends how old the debt is. | |

The hearing is requested in writing and do not send it to the debt collector ONLY the DOE in Atlanta. You need tom read the reasons that they cannot garnish first. For example were you unemployed within the last 12 months, you did not incurr the debt, etc. There is a list, find one that meets your needs and provide copies of what you can and they will void the garnishment immediately, then you can renegotiate directly with the government.
