Hi - yes I did report it to everyone you mentioned and put a freeze on my credit reports as well as purchase credit monitoring through Equifax. That was a waste of my money and the credit freeze doesn't work either. There are ways to bypass it. I knew that was happening and I found web-sites that confirmed it. What makes my situation more of a hassle is the fact it happened two times. The first time was by someone I worked with and the second time I received a letter in the mail that my personal information was stolen and sold by an employee at some business I cashed a check at. I can't even get the information where this business was. Anytime something happens there is no way to link it to one or the other. It seems like it was a waste of my time doing what I was told to do because it never really seemed to matter and I'm worse off then ever before. I'm just looking for avenues for legal help and financial help. I'm changing my social security number and my last name. After that I'm paying for everything with either cash or money orders for a while. Thanks for your reply - Emily | |
