Fingerhut Credit Accounts- a trap in disguise?

Fingerhut Credit is a well known retailer and offers a wide range of products. To make shopping easier for people, it also offers credit accounts. These Fingerhut Credit Accounts have posed to be a major problem for the people.

Fingerhut Credit is sending notices, mails and letters to people saying that their payments are due. While some of the notices are valid, majority of them are not genuine. People have doubts that there has been extensive manipulation of credit account balances and that there should be some way to stop the irregularities of the company.

People who had paid off their dues received notices requesting the customers to pay up again. Complaints also included allegations that a customer who had paid up in full still had his name in the credit report. Fingerhut has also been blamed for providing telephone numbers, which are not valid. Few officials of the company mislead people and do not provide the correct information about payments and account balances.

While some attribute the irregularities to the change in the company's management, there are yet others who say that this is a probable way of harassing people.

I too had a fingerhut card on my credit that needs to be payed off too as well, but that was about 6 years ago doen't it erase after seven

I recently paid off my fingerhut bill by puting it on a capitol one card and miraculously I have another bill of 709 dollars that is now currently reporting on my credit report. This is a false bill and would like it taken care of. The reason I know this is because if I owed fingerhut anything they would not let me charge any more so therefore I did not charge the amount you have reported on my credit report. I also have joined others in reporting your company to the better business bureau. This needs taken care of immediately _________________ Register today to encash debtcc points.

Hi Rosetta This is a debt consolidation forum reporting the consumers' feedback about Fingerhut. You are pointing here towards the wrong company. Regarding your query, have you filed a dispute with the credit bureau reporting this account? They will investigate this account and update it if your dispute is valid. Send a letter of dispute to the credit bureau with your name and address and highlighting the item clearly. I am sure that it will be taken care of. Just an F.Y.I. I also called Fungerhuts number 1-800-208-2500 and told them I had there company show up on my credit report. The first girl said to call 800-325-6168. So I called and the next girl said that I wasn't in the computer that, the company Fingerhut Credit Advantage is no longer affiliated with Fingerhut.That I need to email or write to: Card Services P.O. Box 7999 Saint Cloud, MN 856302 Or Fax to 320-229-8583 she also said that they had no phone number to give me. What a joke!
